The age of today is called an age of information.As a basic part of all kinds ofautomation equipments and instruments and meters, the transducer is taking animportant task in nowadays information society, that is, to get information. Therefore,sensing technologies and transducers have received unprecedented attention and cameinto a fast-moving period and into an active branch of modern science. With the rapiddevelopment of modern science and technology and extensive uses of new materials,functions and methods, the demand of the size, the sensitivity, the measurement, therepeatability error and the consumption, of transducers and memories in electronicinformation technology areas, is becoming stricter and stricter. Some traditionalmeasuring devices can hardly meet the needs of modern information science andtechnology, especially in the measurement of the conversion of electromagneticsignals. Capacitive type pressure transducers, voltage transducers, and hall sensors,for example, cannot satisfy the acquirements of modern measurement, with the flawssuch as high cost in measurement, loud noise caused by complicated circuits.As a new type of magnetic material, the amorphous alloy has a lot of excellentmacro-performances which are due to their special microstructure gathered by atomswhose long-ranges are disordered and short-ranges are ordered. Therefore, it showsexcellent characteristic at all aspects in mechanics, electrics, magnetics and chemistry.At the same time, amorphous alloy appears distinct external characteristics in thepreparation of amorphous alloy with the techniques of alloy preparation and heattreatment. At present, the development and application of the material of amorphousalloy are in rapid growth, people lay more attention on this new kind of functionalmaterial. A large number of magnetic sensors used for measuring non electricalquantity, such as current sensor and magnetic field sensor have been developedabroad with amorphous alloy. Domestic people have concerned the amorphous alloygradually from the middle of1980s. With the development of science and technology,the amorphous alloy is showing a bright future in sensor technology and measurementfield.Measuring pressure is an important issue not only in all fields of scientificresearch and production, but in people’s daily life. Along with the rapid growth ofscience and modern communication and information technology, the position ofmeasuring pressure has becoming more and more important. It is a meaningful try thatputting some excellent characteristics of amorphous alloy into use of pressuretransducers. In this thesis, an absolute pressure transducer based on amorphous alloyis designed, with whose probe unit is a ced-loop one. This structure is rare among thesense organs based on amorphous alloy. It has many disadvantages like goodsensitivity, wide measurable measuring range and few repeatability errors.In this experiment, amorphous alloy, cut into strips and wound into circles, is putinto alternate excitation fields. The inner magnetic properties of the amorphous alloywill be changed because of the mutative shape of the amorphous alloy under theaction of forces. The final mutative voltage and frequency signal can be gotten bycollecting and data processing the signals in induction coils. By theoretical arithmetic and analysis, it can be known that the signals vary along with the forces. After all, theexoteric forces can be measured.This sensor has a vast variety of excellent features, such as simple and clearcircuits, small and exquisite structure, good stability of metrical date, and littlerepeatability error.
