In many technology fields, the sensor technology has important applications, such as industry, agriculture, national defense, biology, space navigation. With the rapid development of science of material and modern communication technology, some traditional sensors could not meet the demands of people in certain aspects, such as size, sensitivity, full scale, thermodynamic stability, power expend, cost and so on.For its excellent mechanical, mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties, the amorphous alloy has a high research and application prospect. In recent years, amorphous alloy caused widespread attention as core of sensor production. Its excellent performance provides a kind of stable, high sensitivity, fast response, low-cost current sensor.Based on the above background, two kinds of amorphous alloy current sensors were designed. The sensor was produced by the commercial Co-based amorphous alloy materials which has good soft magnetic properties. This material has been made into alloy ribbon for the solenoid core as the probe of current sensor. When the amorphous alloy ribbon fled the signal of magnetic field, which generated by the current, the soft magnetic properties of amorphous alloy would change in the inductance of solenoid. By affected the oscillation and rectifier of the whole circuit, this change affects the final output voltage and finally achieves the sensor to treat the basis of current measurement test.In the paper, a RC square wave oscillator circuit was designed, which has many advantages such as simple structure, good stability, low price and low power consumption. The frequency of the oscillation has been designed by the capacitance and resistance. The probe-head made by amorphous is connected to the output as a load of the circuit, and affects the entire oscillation wave form of the circuit with the change of the testing current. During the whole measurement process, the size of amorphous, turns of the coil probe and the circuit's frequency will affect the measurement results greatly. So this paper analyses and compares of these three factors. Taking this into account, we had done a lot of work to find a better match value for the current sensor.After we get the operating characteristics of the current sensor, zero magnification processing was designed to adjust an appropriate output voltage. The current sensor can not only measure the value of the current but also its direction. In the experiment, an AD data acquisition system was designed by which we can get the digital signal of the output voltage. Finally, the measured current value was showed by a LCD1602 drove by a piece of MCU. This design can make the sensor show an intuitive display for us.In summary, in this paper we designed two types of current sensor which based on CMOS oscillation circuit using Co-based amorphous alloy ribbon. They have the same sensitive mechanism but the different probe structure, and applications. The"C"type probe has a high sensitivity and targeted, in contrast to these terms, the straight type probe has a wide range of applications and high stability. In this paper, the current sensor based on the amorphous alloy ribbon has a simple structure, compact and convenient conformation, and strong anti-interference ability.
