A Comparative Study Of The Traditional Search Engine And Intelligent Search Engine

As the popularity of computers and networks, It becomes an important way that people use the Internet to obtain information, with the convenient, fast, simple characteristics of the search engine, which become a necessary tool for people to get information. Since the first search engine was born, the search engine which experienced from the traditional search engine to intelligent search engine, has developed its system for twenty years. How to define the traditional search engine and intelligent search engine, what is the difference of structures of the intelligent search engine from traditional search engine, what is the difference that the key technologies of intelligent search engine and traditional search engine, those are all the problems we should think about, we should sort the issues to make a clear understanding of the characteristics of the development process of the search engine, and also we could predict the future of search engine.In order to reflect both differences and relations and make some inspirations for the development in future, this paper introduces traditional search engine and intelligent search engine by the method of comparative analysis. The contents of this thesis can be generally divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction, which mainly research on the background of this paper, it contains significance, research status, and the research methods and innovations of this paper.The second part contains the chapter two and three. It explains the concept of the traditional search engine and intelligent search engine, discusses the structure, principle and key technologies of the traditional search engines and intelligent search engine, a comparative analysis of both in the structure, principle and techniques, and then point out the difference and contact, characteristics and limitations.The third part is the empirical research. It take Baidu as an example of traditional search engine and take Ghunt as an example of intelligent search engine. In order to get more clearly understand the difference between traditional search engine and intelligent search engine, this paper analyze and compare the two types of search engine.In the fourth part, on the basis of the comparative analysis of the text, it summrize the strengths and weaknesses of the traditional search engine and intelligent search engine, propose some optimization strategies and predict the development directions of the search engine.The fifth part, sum up the main points and concluse the article.
