Micro Blog And Network Media Event Interaction Research

In the Internet age with new media emerging in an endless stream, a new thing called "micro-blog" has attracted the attention of the media and IT industry. For its unique characteristics, micro-blog accelerates the speed and expands the scope of information communication, creates a new pattern of interpersonal communication, emancipates public discourse, and broadens the network public sphere.By analyzing practical cases and researching literatures, this paper taking sina micro-blog as the main object of study, is intended to explore the interaction between micro-blog and media events with the traditional communication theory, six degrees of separation and the relationship of jointed groups. Based on the comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of micro-blog products and the objective descriptions of micro-blog communication pattern, this paper makes a systematic exposition of the media events happening in micro-blog. The innovation of this paper lies in the study on the development of media events in micro-blog, fully analyzing the close link between the joint groups and the loose relationship of the outside, associating with the free speech and information collection in micro-blog, probing into the conflict of values between the grassroots and the elites, and thus arriving at the conclusion that micro-blog plays a significant role in building a harmonious and healthy network public sphere and pushing the development of the media events.
