The Research And Practice On ISGW Upgrade And Reform Of Qinghai China Mobile

For expanding processing capacity and optimizing service structure, QingHai China Mobile is implementing the upgrading project of internet short message gateway (ISMG) of monternet. The main work is to manage the program of the project of ISMG upgrading, and have make some plan for the ISMG’s development.The upgrading work will play an important role for the promotion and development of monternet service. Through analyzing the needs, the paper establishes the building goals and business model of Qinghai Monternet gateway, and plans the physical topology and business gateway topology. According to the definition of the business specification and the external interface of the gateway, the scheme obtained the suitable software, hardware and functional requirements for the Qinghai Monternet gateway.Due to performance degradation, serious space shortage and service process killed frequently, the project optimized the hardware structure of ISMG—adding ATAE blade machines, eliminating the original HP minicomputer (Accounting server and Management server). The processing ability of the original ISMG’s is 600 SMS/s, and it cannot provide timely service during the peak hours. After the upgrading, the processing ability of the new ISMG will reach to 1500 SMS/s, and it will meet the processing ability demand of 2012.Through the upgrading project, the problems and pitfalls of the Qinghai Monternet ISMG will be completely solved.Currently, the new ISMG have finished equipment installation, powering, testing and is now on-line.
