Measurements and managements of indicative data of energy industry in our country are manually achieved. That’s to say, meter readers read on-the-spot rationing equipments, which gets low efficiency and large-span time of transcriptions. With development of communications and computer technology, traditional local measurements for the energy index in the field of civil and industrial control can not meet the actual demand.With the development of technology, user’s energy consumption data can be real-timely read by adding communication module to metering equipment. This will not only save human resources, but also monitor each user’s state of consumption, which help administration sections to discover problems without delay and take appropriate measures to deal with them. The emergence and popularity of communication modules has made the measurement methods shifted from manual way to remote way. As adapted to the market demands, long-distance measurement method has become the standard technical measures in this industry. At present, the long-distance measurement method is applied experimentally in some areas. As for the reasons, on the one hand, different signal transmission ways each has advantages and disadvantages, yet there is no uniform standard; And still more, no stable technical framework provides guidance on the actual system both in theory and practice. Therefore, the development of a high-performance and low-cost long-distance measurement method and standard has become the key of promoting the use of the technology.Long-distance measurement for index of water and electricity is the core content of remote measurement. In face of complex environment such as complex network configuration, different development platform, various destination node and so on, how to carry out effective remote measurements for water and electricity is a great research subject with high practical application value. On the base of present long-distance measurement techniques, a data analysis model has been brought forth based on method of Mathematical Statistics. Combining the data analysis model with techniques such as low-voltage power line carrier technology, middleware, real-time embedded type of LINUX operating system and so on, a technology framework with some commonality for long-distance data measurement has been designed. Based on the technology framework, a commercial system for automatic remote measurement of energy data has been raised. It is a multi-user system in which multiple users can operate the system without limitation of time and areas, which has greatly improved the utilization of field equipment and efficiency of measurements.This article firstly discuss the technical framework and then form the framework of the high-end technology demonstration of detail one by one analysis, for example, low power-line carrier technique, middleware, embedded Linux using a centralized equipment, technology, and then study the data analysis model is how to measure the device with a series of complex raw data conversion, resulting in the system of indicators required data. While based on the theory research, combined with a large state-owned energy company application case, we use the proposed framework and technology to design a long-distance measurement and practical business systems to achieve water, electricity, gas and other precision measuring distance measurement data, and the system is used at an energy company, the results before and after use were compared, the installation and operation of the system have also been resolved.
