With the progress of the technology, TD-SCDMA mobile communication technologyhas become more and more advanced and its applications have been used extensively.Because of the special circumstances in the coal industry, the development of the coalcommunication is difficulty. TD-SCDMA mobile communication system can provideeffectively data transfer and real-time voice services. Therefore, it is necessary to develop anew coal dedicated communication system by TD technology.The paper introduces the characteristic and the development of the coal communicationnetworks in domestic and foreign. On this basis, the paper analyzes the general framework,function and technical characteristics of the coal dedicated network which is based onTD-SCDMA technology and especially elaborates the core equipment TDR100′s hardwareand software architecture in TD coal dedicated network. Lay a foundation for realizing theunique RANAP software processing module in the dedicated network.The paper firstly researches the RANAP protocol which relates with the PS domain inthe core network in TD coal dedicated network. Then according to the special environment ofthe TD coal dedicated network applications, as well as the RANAP protocol characteristics,the paper proposes the unique RANAP software processing module thinking in the TD coaldedicated network. The RANAP software processing modules can achieve Iu linkmanagement, Iu occupancy detection, Iu global reset, the message processing and routingfunctions in the TD coal dedicated network.Iu link management function can establish the Iusignaling connection before the data communication for the user and also can release the Iusignaling connection after the end of data transmission.Iu occupancy detection function is toensure that when the user is no activity, the appropriate Iu resources can be normal release.Finally, by setting up the RANAP test environment and according to the signaling tracking software this paper accomplishes the test of Iu link management, Iu reset, the messageprocessing and routing functions in RANAP software module. By analyzing the software testresults we know that the subject realizes the design of RANAP software processing module inthe TD coal dedicate.
