The Optimized Research Of PPP Link Performance In PDSN System Based On Network Coding

PDSN (Packet Data Serving Node, PDSN) was the core equipment of CDMA2000packet data system, all packet data that mobile terminals accessed to the network werehosted in PPP link of PDSN system, the research of improving PPP link performance hadbecome hotspot which could make mobile terminals enjoy high-quality data communicationservices and improve system efficiency.Focusing on the PPP link performance optimization, this work carried out researches asfollows:1. Through the analysis of existing PPP link data transmission process in PDSN system,the ascension space of PPP link transmission mechanism was estimated for resourceutilization and balanced load.2. Based on the analysis and digestion of network coding method. the Network Codingmethod was designed to improve PPP link performance.3. In PPP link resource utilization, multiple PPP links data scheme was designed. toimprove the utilization of wiresless channel and multiple mobile terminals cooperationcommunication program was designed for sharing high-speed data transmission channel andresuing wireless transmission resources.4. In coding efficiency, data coding and decoding modules was designed for theprogram, for one thing network coding module was designed in PDSN system, for theother thing it gave two decoding methods which one was decoded in mobile terminals andthe other in wireless access network side, then it gave the initial implementation of the PPPlink performance optimization based on second one and the experimental verification.In this paper, one of the PPP link performance optimization was implemented based onNetwork Coding which used the shared channel to improve PPP link performance.Thiswork had conducted the initial attempt of network coding applications, and established thefoundation for PDSN application to promote.
