Wireless sensor network(WSN)has become a research focus in the field of communication for the past few years.Based on the routing protocol of wireless sensor,this paper integrates the network coding technology into the routing protocol to improve the network throughput,reduce the energy consumption of network nodes and balance the network load.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)In this paper,the theoretical basis of wireless sensor networks and network coding is introduced,the research status at home and abroad is analyzed,as well as,the principles of Threshold Sensitive Energy Efficient Sensor Network(TEEN)Protocol and opportunistic routing protocol is elaborated.The key technologies and current problems of opportunistic routing protocols are analyzed to lay a foundation for future research.(2)In this paper,TEEN Protocol is taken as the research object,and C-NCTEEN model is proposed according to its structural characteristics.This model constructed a reverse link at the sink node,enabling it to make use of network coding at the sink node.In addition,in order to avoid blindly waiting for the coding opportunity at the sink node,the solution of adding link coding factor on the link is proposed.The improved algorithm can make the throughput at the sink node improved,and the transmission delay reduced,as well as,the life cycle of the network extended.(3)An opportunistic routing protocol based on coding awareness is proposed.The routing metrics used in most current opportunistic routing protocols are also the expected number of transmissions or coding opportunities of the shortest path,and rarely consider the remaining energy of the nodes.However,frequent selection of nodes with better link quality or coding opportunities to forward packets will make these nodes run out of energy quickly and break away from the network.Therefore,this paper designs a new routing metric: the number of remaining transmissions.The routing metric comprehensively considers the link quality between nodes and the remaining energy of the nodes.In this paper,a comprehensive routing metric combining node coding opportunities and residual energy of nodes is proposed.Based on this routing metric,an opportunistic routing protocol based on coding awareness is proposed,this protocol actively detects the coding opportunities,considers the residual energy node,in order to achieve balanced node coding opportunities and residual energy of each node.Experiments show that the routing protocol can improve the network throughput,reduce the network transmission delay,extend the network life cycle,and balance the energy consumption between nodes.
