With the development of modern coal industry, the technical requirements for coal mine machinealso have been increased. Water valves and gas valves play important roles in coal mine safety, thedemands for valve control also become increasingly centralized and intelligent.As the limitation oftraditional valve controllers, they could not feed the modern needs. However, the embeddedtechnology becomes a significant part in industrial automation, with its small size, low cost, powerful,easy to expand and other characteristics. For this reason, embedded technology is used in valvecontrol system in this thesis, making the system more intelligent and optimized. As a result, it hasachieved good goals.In this thesis, smart valve controller is the main object for research, and the main developmentplatform is embedded microcontroller LPC1766based on kernel ARM Cortex-M3. Considering thecost and function needs, structure of the system was set up after comprehensively learning its functionand the principle of operation. And the hardware was designed according to the function needs. Thesoftware design based on μC/OS-Ⅱ.This operating system has been transplanted to the platformLPC1766to manage all the software tasks.The methods of the arrangement and modular design haveachieved a stable and efficient embedded control system.It has been proved that the interface of this system is friendly. Besides, the system has goodstability and reliability. It can not only be used for valve control in coal mine, but also will be anprofitable reference in other industry fields.
