In the more and more competitive era of knowledge economy, the effective management andefficient utilization of knowledge have become one of the key factors for enterprises to gaincompetitive advantage. How to manage and retrieval the massive unstructured knowledge has becomeone of problems that must be solved urgently. Currently, some unstructured knowledge managementsystems can realize the acquisition, representation and storage of unstructured knowledge. But withthe keyword as index marked, the systems lack of semantic relations among knowledge, are difficultto realize knowledge sharing, and also difficult to improve the recall ratio and precision ratio.Therefore, this paper researches unstructured knowledge management system based on wordsegmentation and user model which introduces the semantic concepts, realizes knowledge integration,combines with the user model, and finally provides personalized knowledge retrieval. The main workincludes:(1) In view of the present research situation and the existing problems on the currentunstructured knowledge management, combining the background of railway rapid design knowledgemanagement project, the framework and process of unstructured knowledge management systembased on word segmentation and user model are given.(2) Two key technologies of the system including semantic representation model ofunstructured knowledge based on word segmentation and unstructured knowledge personalizedretrieval based on user model are deeply researched. This paper adopts the improved MaximumMatching algorithm for Chinese word segmentation in the knowledge processing layer. In theknowledge representation layer, representation model based on vector space combined with ontologytechnology is adopted, knowledge semantic representation is realized, and the corresponding semanticweight calculation method and knowledge similarity calculation method are given. In order to provideusers with personalized information retrieval service, in the knowledge filter layer user model basedon domain ontology is constructed and applied in knowledge filter.(3) Researchers are applied to railway rapid design knowledge management project. The designand development of the system are completed and efficient management of knowledge is realized.Through the application, unstructured knowledge recall and precision have been improved obviously.
