At present, due to the widespread supporting of including video on demand, real-time videoteleconferencing, etc, the applications based on H.264coding standard become more and morepopular. It turns into a hotspot issue to study how to ensure H.264application security.This paper concluded two new video encryption according to the features of H.264and two newvideo encryption algorithm were designed based on the models, the main results are as follows:1. Proposing the function of video encoding model. After in depth studied of H.264video codingstandard, the function model of the video encoding process was summarized, and the performanceparameters was used to show video encode steps in this model. The model contributes to understandthe theory and function of video encoder.2. Proposing video encryption function model. The model is able to present a uniform descriptionof existing video encryption algorithm. On this basis, two new video encryption models wasproposed: the frame hidden encryption model and the operating hidden encryption model. The newmodel draws on the ideas of information hiding, and proposes the concepts of "avoidingthe encryption process awared" in the field of video encryption.3. Designing and implementation of a new frame XOR video encryption algorithm. This algorithmis suitable for real-time video applications, and makes up for the compression ratio changing ofselective encryption and encoder not universal of entropy coding encryption. In this algorithm, aframe image which is determined by the key XOR the original image both in details and backgroundaccordingly, to generate visual overlapping images and achieve the purpose of encryption.4. Proposing operation hidden concepts for video coding. Based on this concepts, operation hiddenvideo encryption algorithm was proposed. In this algorithm, the key was embed in the flag, formatinformation, optional operation position, etc. So that, the video can be encrypted and the originalformat does not be destroyed.Evaluation results indicates that these two types of video encryption algorithms can achieve agood effect on video encryption and have an obviously integrated advantage compared with currentthree types of video encryption algorithms on consideration of all the application requirements.Meanwhile, they can effectively control the compressibility movement, and can be used as commonplug-in in the H.264encoder under the most situations.
