The Infrared countermeasures technology has played an critical role in contemporary war.Interfering with the infrared-guided missiles by using the infrared decoy projectile, which is the mostwidely used technology of infrared countermeasures at present. In order to study the effect of infraredcountermeasures better, in this paper, the visualization simulation software is established, which isabout the infrared decoy projectiles against the infrared-guided air-to-air missiles, besides, theevaluation software for interference effects is given, too.First of all, the typical three-dimensional simulation model for infrared-guided missiles can beobtained, via the particle system technology and OpenGL graphics library, according to the radiation,motion and geometric characteristics for the infrared decoy projectiles. In addition, the target model isthe right model for F16fighter-aircraft, thus, the three-dimensional simulation is given on the basis ofmotion equations and geometric parameters of F16. Meanwhile, based on the typical infrared-guidedair-to-air missiles ATM-9X, the three-dimensional simulation model for infrared-guided missiles isachieved.Secondly, a new algorithm for fast infrared-imaging is proposed, in accordance with the theoryof infrared radiation along with the structure and working principle of infrared seeker. In thealgorithm, the temperature distribution can be simulated by the colour distribution of the target,whichwill improve the simulation speed of the computer. As to the colour distribution, the third-partythree-dimensional modeling software Blender is employed to deal with it. As the result of simulation,the infrared images acquired from the algorithm is close to the real ones, what’s more, it can meet thereal-time requirements.Thirdly, the position information of target can be obtained within the processing of infraredimages provided from the infrared seeker. Then the BP neural network algorithm is used in targetrecognition, which can give a high recognition rate and a fast computing speed as well. Referring tothe target tracking, Camshift+Kalman filter is applied to boost the tracking efficiency.Then, after analyzing various factors related to the impact of infrared decoy projectilesinterference effects, employing the three-dimension method of whole process to extract the basic datafor infrared countermeasure, and using KPCA+SVM algorithm to achieve the data training, obviously,the new interference condition can be assessed ultimately.Finally, a brief introduction is give to describe the software of three-dimensional visual simulation, the structure of the evaluation system, and the convergence of the various parts. In thepaper, the software is based on Windows and developed by VC6.0and OpenGL graphics library.Thereinto, OpenCV image processing library is used for image processing, and thethree-dimensional model is conversed and modified through Blender.
