With the rapid development of China’s national economy, the consumption of all kinds ofenergy and resources increases continuously, and at present the reserves a large number of oiland gas mines exhaust, the new discovered less and less,dependence on imports of resources.MT method applied in oil and gas, mineral resources exploration more and more extensive,detecting depth from the near surface to thousands of meters underground, it plays animportant role in underground resources field survey. In recent decades, foreign especially theEuropean and American countries develops very quickly in this technology, all kinds of themagnetotelluric sounding instrumentation to emerge, they are superior performance,monopoly most of the global market. Our country on magnetotelluric studies later,development is backward, and foreign technology blockade against our country, whichseriously restricts the electromagnetic method instrument development, especially inductivemagnetic sensor-the key components of the magnetotelluric sounding system.Inductive magnetic sensor is based on Faraday’s law of induction, it is a receiver inmeasuring the change of electromagnetic field, its performance directly affect the analysisresults of MT. This paper presents the investigate of the magnetic sensor, finally finallyachieve the expected goal of the magnetic sensor. The wok has been done are as follows:This paper firstly analyzes the working principle and composition of magnetotelluricsounding system, then introduces the work principle and components of magnetic sensor, inthis section details magnetic sensor parameters and influence the performance of the factors,puts forward the coil design method, analyzes the characteristics of various magnetic corematerial, make sure the magnetic sensor ferrite core of the sort of material and size; secondlyin meet the magnetic sensor broadband characteristics, design the chopper preamplifier circuitwith flux feedback; finally, put forward the magnetic sensor calibration method, andmeasurement the amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics of the threemagnetic sensors which produce by myself, they basically meet the expected target.
