Image enhancement processing technology has been widely used in medicaldiagnosis, aerospace engineering, military scouting, fingerprint recognition, satellitephotographing. It is very significant to research image enhancement processingtechnology. The method of image enhancement is usually targeted therefore it isdifficult to quantify the result but to assess by experiences and subjectiveconsciousness. Domestic and foreign scholars have presented a number ofenhancement algorithms however none is universal and reliable which judges theenhancement result by measuring the image quality at present.This paper presents an in-depth study of image enhancement processingtechnology, the main content includes:1. we improve the current algorithm of local histogram equalization base onLocal Mean and Local Standard Deviation; and Implement the replacement betweenamplification factor and power transform factor, improve the running efficiency whenreplacing amplification factor and power transform factor which could not be derivedwithout repeated test using traditional algorithm through MATLAB simulation test.Thus the improved algorithm is more intelligent.2. we present a new Membership Function by researching Fuzzy Enhancementand analyzing traditional Fuzzy Enhancement algorithm-Pal&King algorithm; andconduct a MATLAB test for the new Membership Function and prove the improvedPal&King algorithm can achieve the expected enhancing effect prevent theMembership Function from inclusive cut so as to avoid grey information loss causedby the enhancement and improve the operating efficiency.3. we present a combined image enhancing method base on wavelet field. It isproved that the combined enhancing method can avoid visual image details losscaused by the amalgamation of low frequency grey-scale and reduce noise for highfrequency information therefore yields significant result in the image enhancingprocess.
