Signaling Acquisition and Monitoring is an important auxiliary system in telecomnetwork. It does not depend on the network element equipment. It can collect the datadirectly from the network link. It can also decode the collecting data and access signalingmessages and parameters. Moreover, it can provide further analysis and statistics based onsignal acquisition and monitoring. It would get the beneficial index and conclusion of thenetwork management and operation. At the same time, the Signaling Acquisition andMonitoring system and network element device are independent., they would not affectthe operation of the network.On the aspect of networking monitoring, the advantage of acquisition andmonitoring system is irreplaceable. It can collect data from monitored site, decode, analyze,detect and store signals from the networking. Comparing with meters, acquisition andmonitoring system can obtain richer and more comprehensive information, which providesmore detail analysis to the network., Tracking end to end calls but also can help networkerror analysis. For the maintenance and management of networking, the system is essentialto gather statistics for cyber source, the performance of network elements, network qualityand business communication, etc. Monitor system has a significant function oninter-connection monitoring tracking and verification of illegal signs of communication.Plus, it is a great help for monitoring the operation and management of network. Last butnot least, it supplies the opportunity of deeper analysis, helps operating optimization, andanalyzes network and business activities; it also guides business model design,development and promotion.This paper discusses the signaling monitoring system architecture, signaling datacollection and analysis method in detail. The system use in Shanghai communicationnetwork management system and other networks, such as SMS cell, intelligent trafficsystem, especially in the EXPO passenger guiding application system. This research ’s meaning lies on use less investment to achieve the whole networksignaling monitoring. The results of this study contribute to improving the operation andmaintenance of telecommunication network management level, in the meanwhile providethe relevant system information source.
