In recent years, there are more and more electromagnetic signals in space.Signal Processing based on polarization sensitive array has become a research hotspot. The main reason is that the polarization sensitive array is a new array that can get the polarization information of electromagnetic signals and that provides a physical basis for identifying the signals in the polarization filed. There are many advantages in signal processing based on polarization such as stronger anti-interference ability, sound system detection capability, high resolution and the ability to multi-site polarization. So, the polarization sensitive array is very useful whether in military or in civil. This paper mainly studies the multi-parameters estimation based on polarization sensitive array.Firstly, this paper briefly describes the performance and prospect of the polarization sensitive array and the research work of multi-parameter estimation polarization sensitive at home and abroad. Secondly, It is studied the types of polarization sensitive geometry and signal reception model, and then studied two methods of basic array parameter estimation and the application in polarization sensitive array. Thirdly, It is described the basic theory of higher-order cumulants, and combining it with ESPRIT applied to the parameter estimation using polarization sensitive arrayA new polarization sensitive array model based on virtual time delay unit is proposed in this paper. According to the received data from this array cumulant matrixs are made. Two parallel linear arrays are obtained using expansion features of the higher-order cumulant. Finally, it is achieved the parameter estimation such as frequency, DOA and polar-angle using DOA matrix. It is simulated using MATLAB. This method does not require parameter matching and can be applied to any Gaussian noise environment. At last, we give the summary of the research work and expect about the future work.
