The transport of coal mine is divided into two forms-main transport and auxiliarytransport, and trackless rubber tire vehicle is one way of auxiliary transport.With thedevelopment of modern transportation mode in coal mine, trackless rubber tire vehicle inauxiliary transportation of coal mine is applied more and more widely in China. Due to thelimitations of cost and geological conditions,auxiliary transport tunnel is quite narrow, whichcan allow only one vehicle to pass in general. Without effective command and control on thevehicle, the transport efficiency is reduced, and the security incidents of vehicle crashes,rear-end will happen in this narrow tunnel. In order to ensure the safe production and improvethe transport efficiency of vehicles, it is very necessary to study the automatic control amanagement system of trackless rubber-tired vehicle in coal mine.Automatic control and management system of rubber tire vehicle includes two parts:ground and underground. The main task of ground part are the collection of operating statusinformation underground vehicle, the scheduling order accord with the requirement of vehiclerunning process sent out by logical computing, and the displaying of the operating conditionsof the underground vehicles. The underground part provides the running direction, numberand location of vehicle for system, and receives the control command of signals sent by thehost computer at the same time.The main task of this paper is to design an underground monitor base station based onCAN bus. The main function of this base station is to detect the vehicle number, determinethe vehicle direction and receive the control command made by host computer. According tothe actual situation of the coal mine, the tunnel is divided into linear tunnel and divergencetunnel, which adapt to the two cases of the base station. Monitoring base station mainlyincludes both hardware and soft ware. The hardware consists of PIC18F4580microcontrolleras the core, and the software includes direction judgment module in linear tunnel and in divergence tunnel, CAN communication module, RS-485communication module, and signalcontrol module.In addition, the design of detection program and the distribution of thedetection are completed in this article.Based on the design mentioned above, the hardware debugging and softwareprogramming are completed, and combined with the host computer, the laboratory simulationrun of the entire vehicle scheduling system is realized. The accurate information ofunderground vehicles provided by monitoring base station provides a decision basis for thehost computer. The experiment results show that the design of monitoring base station anddetection program is feasible and meets the system requirements.
