Vascular image is the fundamental basic for medics to diagnose the vascular diseases. Theclarity of the vascular can not only quantitatively describe the structure of the vascular, but alsoshow the geometry change of the vascular, which can dramatically enhance the efficiency andaccuracy of the diagnoses, which can especially benefit the young doctor with less experience.However, the vascular images tend to have the characteristics of low contrast and mistiness of theform owing to the image forming condition and its own complex structure, so these together bringgreat difficulty to the division. With the development of the computer technique, all kinds ofarithmetic emerged, but there have not formed a general theory and algorithm so far. The authorstudied the segmentation process from the perspective of morphology and developed a softwareintended for the clarity of the vascular using VC6.0++. The prime work in this paper is as follows:1. It introduced the methods commonly used in enhancing the resolution of the vascularimage. Then it bettered the contrast by piecewise linear transform, based on which brought in theconcept of mathematical morphology to further clarify the vascular image. After that, it conductededge detection for the pretreated vascular images using classical gradient operator. Eventually, thepaper presented marked Watershed Algorithm for the vascular images to carry on watershedsegmentation.2. It introduced the characteristics of the VC++Graphics Programming, and then developed avascular image prioritizing software using the method of object-oriented and modular. It alsoguaranteed the effectiveness of the algorithmic by verifying and analyzing the back of the handvascular image obtained from the real environment. The software provided an effective andefficient platform intended for the clarity of the vascular images.3. It introduced the development on the medicine segmentation assess as there is no unifyingstandard on the medicine segmentation quality.4. It prospected the research contest at the end and came up with the work that requiressubsequent effort.
