Agricultural production is related to people’s daily life closely. With the improvementof the living standard, greenhouse industry is increasingly favored by people. Wirelesssensor network, with its low-cost and low power consumption, has been widely used in theagricultural field, and it can acquire environmental information and help to improve theenvironment by deploying amount of sensor nodes in the monitoring area, which is toachieve the intended economic purpose.It is necessary to solve two problems for wireless sensor networks applied ingreenhouse: to build a wireless network platform for greenhouse and realize a variety ofapplications for greenhouse management. Taking into account the effect of wireless signalattenuation caused by greenhouse plants, and improving the overall performance of thewireless network, this paper mainly researches the nodes deployment problem ingreenhouse; and otherwise, a software system is designed and it mainly containsgreenhouse monitoring subsystem and GPRS SMS management subsystem, andaccomplishes the remote monitoring and management of greenhouse information. Thethesis work includes following aspects:1) Based on the experiments, this paper studies the effect of the2.4GHz wirelesssignal attenuation caused by plants, and analyzes the relation among the distance of plantsand the signal source node, the distance of the signal source node and signal destinationnode, and the value of the link quality RSSI. Combined with the effective distance of thesignal transmitted in actual greenhouse, the linear node deployment strategy applying togreenhouse environment is come up with.2) On the basis of the ZigBee protocol stack, this paper designs appropriateapplication to meet the application requirements for each type of network nodes.3) At last, this paper designs the wireless remote monitoring system for greenhousemanagement, and it mainly contains two subsystems. The greenhouse monitoringsubsystem takes charge of the good interface display of greenhouse information, exceptioninformation alarm and so on; GPRS SMS management subsystem achieves the remoteinteraction between the greenhouse administrator and the greenhouse monitoringsubsystem, administrator not only can order and query greenhouse environmental data, butalso modify and set the relevant parameters of the system.The main contribution of this paper is that: by researching the effect of the wireless signal attenuation caused by the plants, this paper proposes a linear node deploymentstrategy, builds a wireless network monitoring system, meets the application needs ofremote monitoring and control of the greenhouse, and lays the foundation for finegreenhouse production.
