A data warehouse is stored for retrieval and decision analysis with the integratedinformation, which is derived from several heterogeneous, autonomous, remotedistributed data sources. Often the data is stored in the form of materialized views inorder to provide fast access to the integrated data. Informed of changes in theunderlying data sources, the data warehouse systems need to maintain and update thematerialized views in a timely manner to reflect the data changes in the underlying datasources, for high-level application system and decision-making to provide the correctdata.Multiple materialized views in data warehouse are derived from different basetables of data sources which may provide relational query services or provide differentlevels of incremental distribution capacity. Faced with these different backgrounds, how to maintain these views in data warehouse in order to ensure consistency betweenview and data source as well as consistency among multiple views, which is the firstmajor issue of this study. Meanwhile, the data warehouse may provide integrated dataquery and incremental data distribution services for higher-level integrated system, which is the second major issue of this study.By addressing the above two issues, a scalable solution how to integrate the datasources information and use the integrated data will be proposed to meet the differentneeds of the practical application environment.
