The Design And Implementation Of The Interface Protocol For Radio Access Network And Packet Switch Domain Of Core Network In CDMA2000 System

With the wide spread of the 3rd Generation Cellular communication technology and the integration of the Mobile Communication and Internet, the Information era is coming.The R-P Interface of Interoperability Specification (IOS) for CDMA 2000 Access Network Interfaces described in this thesis is the interface connecting the Radio Access Network and the IP Network. Through the R-P Interface,CDMA2000 network can provide the Internet and Intranet service for mobile subscribers.The fundamental theory and network elements about the core network of CDMA20001x EV-DO system are described minutely at first.And,the architecture of this mobile communication network and the function of main network elements are introduced in detail.Then,the operational principle and framework of the PDSN in the Packet Switch Domain are studied.The components of the PDSN access subsystem are analysed specially in order to show the effect and position of the interface in the PDSN system.The way for subsequent work is also paved through the analysis.Then,based on the A11 protocol,the R-P Interface’s operational principle and call procedures described in the Interoperability specification(IOS) for the CDMA2000 Access Interfaces are researched at length,and kinds of messages and events which need the R-P interface to process in the PDSN system are considered comprehensively.By the state machine drove by messages,the R-P interface (RP module) is designed and developed detailedly.On the Linux embedded platform, the functions required by the R-P interface are implemented,such as the establish,refreshing,updating, releasing,accounting of the A10 connections and the disposal for the messages in the PDSN system,etc.Finally,the R-P interface is tested and improved carefully by the indoor test environment. Compare with the existing PDSN products,this R-P interface supports the services provided by A10 connections and A10 flows,which furnish varieties of applications for people.And,this R-P interface surmounts the foreign products with lower cost but better performance.Now, favourable comment is given by the operating agencies in the application.
