With the progress of the construction on China’s socialist democratic politics, civicconsciousness education is increasingly becoming the subject which our nationalleadership and the educational department are concerned with. When facing the currentsituation of our citizens’ low quality and weak moral sense, it is inevitable andnecessary to enhance civic consciousness education. Young people are the generationwho can exploit the future of our motherland. It is of great significance to improve theirlevel of civic consciousness. The school is the main front of the civic consciousnesseducation of middle school students. In our country, the lack of specialized educationalprograms of civic consciousness is the current situation. Therefore, under the newcurriculum reformation, the moral lesson puts cultivating a "good citizen" as the goal,covering many aspects of civic consciousness education, and become the main channelof the civic consciousness education to middle school students.To enhance civic consciousness education through the moral teaching is necessary,because it is the essential requirement for the healthy growth of the adolescents and theobjective need at the turning stage of Chinese society. My study is based on the analysisof questionnaires. The problems I found existing in the civic consciousness educationincludes the lack of educational ideas, the shortage of practices in teaching methods, theimbalance of the educational aim system and the low level of civic consciousnessamong teachers themselves. I focus on strengthening the path selection for the civicconsciousness education in the moral teaching of middle schools. The discussion ismainly from four angles: to implement the civic consciousness education in the moralteaching materials, to persist in the principle of practicality, orientation and equality ineducational teaching, to improve the methods of civic consciousness education in themoral teaching of middle schools and the last to build up the ranks of teachers. Weexpect to raise civic consciousness level of middle school students.
