Internal causes is the basis ofprofessional burnout and external causes is the impetus of professionalburnout.External causes are listed as follows: Over Pressure of Teachers. On the one hand, the current education has received great attentionfrom the society, but criticism is much more than praise, thus greatlyrestricting the freedom and creativity of teachers’ job; on the other hand, there exists contradiction between the higher demand towards teachersand the slow improvement of teachers’ overall quality, and alsoquality-oriented education and examoriented education are conflicting. Therefore, teachers have great pressure in this aspect.Influence from the Society.First of all, the relatively low pay level ofteachers hasn’t satisfied their demand in life, and so their inherent thoughthas been changed gradually. What’s more, parents only focus on theacademic performance of their children, and they ask for too much toschools and teachers. Thirdly, the atmosphere of respecting teachers andvaluing education has not been formed really, and the legal rights ofteachers cannot be guaranteed effectively. The Working Environment Restrains the Development of Teachers. The systems of schools are not flexible enough and thus this featuregreatly discourages teachers’ enthusiasm. The repeated job and heavywork-load of teachers increase teachers’ burden and decrease theirdevotion.Influence from students.Firstly, the indifference towards study ofmany students greatly decreases teachers’ working enthusiasm; secondly, the discursive sense of discipline brings about great challenge ofmanagement. The great conflict in concept between teachers and studentshas been more and more prominent.Internal causes are listed as follows:The ambiguity of the aim of education leads to lose of teachers’ethics. Influenced by the changing society and economy, the educationalpurpose has diverged from the original intention of education.Teachers’ psychological problems couldn’t get effective.persuasion.The psychological illnesses caused by long-time heavy work-load cannotbe recognized by the society, and there are no professional talents toguide teachers to release their negative moods. Therefore, the profession- al burnout problem becomes much more severe. The indeterminacy of teachers in the society influences the normal.interpersonal communication. Teachers cannot shift their roles properly, always using educative tones to communicate with others. This willeasily trigger others’ dislike and dissatisfaction. The personal quality of teachers improves so slowly. The training of.teachers and the improvement of their abilities cannot receive muchattention. Relevant training sessions are mere formality, affecting the laterdevelopment of teachers.Aiming at the causes of professional burnout problems of highschool teachers in Wuhai City, relative countermeasures should be takenout in two aspects of internal and external causes. In external causesaspect, wholesome systems should be set up, the legal rights of teachersshould be guaranteed, the pay level and social esteem of teachers shouldbe improved, and the whole society should form a favorable atmosphereof respecting teachers and valuing education; in internal causes aspect, teachers’ self-quality should be improved, the education of teachers’ethics should be strengthened, teachers’ psychological problems shouldbe properly resolved, and their psychological pressure should be relieved. In conclusion, through the research of professional burnout problemsof high school teachers in Wuhai City, the writer of this article expects itwill arouse the understanding and support towards teachers from thegovernment, the educational department and even the whole society.
