VFP is a workable core course of the computer major. It has certainpracticability and plays very important role for students to learn professionalcourses. However, the course is difficult for vocational school’s students,whose basic cultural knowledge is poor. It is hard for teacher to teach, at thesame time, for students to learn. So the teaching effects are unfavorable.Hence it is necessary to explore an effective teaching model and a newinstruction method to improve school teaching, which can help studentsacquire manipulative skill in this course. It is the task-driving teaching that cangive play teacher’s leading role and stimulate students’ enthusiasm. What’smore, the task-driving teaching can foster the students’ interest to study ontheir own and improve the students’ abilities to analyze and solve problems.The paper takes the task-driving teaching as its theory and bases theextensive materials and practices in the course to study the VFP course ofHulun Buir vocational technical college. In the study, the teaching content canbe reflected in the clear task by the instructional design. And in the guide ofthe teacher, the group member can analyze the task, choose the methods tofinish the task and draw up implementations to complete the task. In theprocess, the group member should cooperate with each other to collectmaterials, summarize viewpoints and design works to finish the task.The implementation of the task-driving teaching can play crucial role infostering students’ study interests, mobilizing students’ initiatives and improvestudent’ abilities to resolve problems. The students not only acquire theknowledge expertise and promote teaching benefits both teacher and themalike, but also experience the joy of accomplishing the task.The paper probes the application of the task-driving teaching in the VFPcourse through the study in theory of task-driving method, and attempts toperfect the method to supply references for other courses of computer major.Here by, the paper can push forward the effectual implementation of the task-driving method in teaching practice.
