The discipline curriculum has definite contents of education and objectives,it’s maneuverability make it to be the important aspect of the reform in basic education.Currently China’s basic education reform has new challenges,the school discipline curriculum design needs advanced theory. However,the design is practical,we should research only from the history,instead of in some thinking areas. Therefore,the research about the design of discipline curriculum in historical is meaningful,but existed research is not enough.By deconstruction the historical event,we can find the theory and procedure of modern discipline curriculum design.This study mainly research the disciplinary structure courses of United States in the20th century,and try to Analysis the process of the basic school curriculum design.Therefore, this study is not mainly to solve the problem what we should do,but mainly to solve the kind of problems about how the American school design discipline curriculum during the Mid-20th century.The study is divided into seven parts:The first part is the introduction part, it discusses the reasons of the research, the research status in and abroad, the definition of related concepts, the design of the research, including research ideas, contents and methods.The second part is about the evolution of the discipline curriculum in American during the Mid-20th century.The third part is the theoretical basis of the curriculum designduring the Mid-20th century. The fourth part is the analysis of the practical form of American curriculum design,focusing on the idea and strategy of curriculum design,and presentation to conduct a comprehensive analysis of curriculum design mode.The fifth part is the analysis of the effectiveness of the curriculum,which based on the BSCS and MACOS.The sixth part is the analysis about what we can learn from USA on curriculum discipline.The seventh part some useful enlightenment for the design of the discipline curriculum in China by rational comparison.
