Research And Implementation Of The Graduate Admissions Counseling Intelligent Chat Robot Based On Alice

Graduate admissions counseling is a key link for college graduate admissions work. It is not only a platform for the universities to serve candidates, but also an important way to display their strength and attract outstanding students.At present, there are mainly two ways for domestic graduate admissions consulting work:one is artificial service by the telephone, text messaging, E-mail, etc. Another is an online Question Answering System based on the key word search. For the former, its disadvantages are a huge cost of manpower, material and financial resources and a huge contradiction between the limited staff and annually increasing number of planning enrolled graduates due to the growing volume of services. For the latter it is that as results of the keyword-based search are often a series of related content users have to further filter useful information themselves.Aiming at the above problems and considering the specific needs of a University graduate admission counseling, this thesis puts forward the solution of developing intelligent chat robot. First of all, on the basis of the relevant theoretical and technical research of intelligent chat robot, the author determined the open source ALICE as the blueprint, and carried out the secondary development for the ALICE source. Secondly, the author put forward the solution which embedded Chinese word segmentation module into ALICE for its defect. By comparing different Chinese word segmentation algorithm, the author selected a dictionary-based Chinese word segmentation algorithm and implemented a series of improvements on it. Finally, in order to realize the interaction of the users and the robot and facilitate the management of the knowledge base of the professional field, the author used JAVA EE technology to develop a set of intelligent customer service system based on B/S.Well tested, the system was smoothly deployed in October2012and the operating data show that the system realized certain intelligence in understanding users’problems, reasoning, pattern matching, etc., effectively shared the amount of the admissions consulting work customer service, and improved the efficiency of the admissions consulting work.
