With the development of the globalization, international education is becoming popular around the world and the number of the Chinese international students increases dramatically as well. The English speaking country of The North America take the example of the United States and Canada, have become the main host countries for the more Chinese international students. So it deserves researching what kinds of the stress and challenges the Chinese international students will encounter, the analysis of the reasons and strategies of these stress and challenges to give the right guidance and reference for the Chinese parents and their children who plan to study abroad,help them prepare well before going abroad and choose the appropriate host country and major rationally, and face their future stress and challenges in proper way in the course of studying abroad and graduate successfully as well. The article conducts the tentative research to analyze the stress and challenges of Chinese international students studying in Canada via the way of the qualitative research on the basis of the data of the interview to the Chinese international students in Alberta University in Canada.The article is titled as "the study on the analysis of the stress and challenges of the Chinese international students studying in North America with the qualitative method to interview the Chinese international students studying in Canadian university.The international students, as the important youth group, undertake many tasks such as. learning English language and major knowledge, increasing the research skills and improving international understanding and trust effectively and remain the international peaceful environment and prosperous development. More importantly. they shoulder the future construction of our country and the whole world. In the future. they will play the key role to make the policy in the fields of culture, education, science and technology and economy etc as well. At present, we have the most international students to study abroad around the world and the international students in our country have been the important part of the higher education."Studying abroad" becomes the popular words in our society now. But with the development of the growing number of the international students, it is common for the students to go abroad hastily without well-preparation because they lack of the guiding of how to choose and determine the host university and the government can not govern and administrate the study-abroad agency, as a result, they have to face many unexpected stress and challenges during adapting the life abroad.After the researching and analyzing, the stresses and challenges of the Chinese international students in North America derive from exterior aspects including language barrier, education and cultural shock and interior aspects including individual personality, environmental adaptability and learning competence. As for the reasons of the above stresses, they mainly come from the difference of the Chinese and English language and education and cultural shock. The strategies of How to face and settle the stresses and challenges mentioned above involves in the following aspects:1.making the intention clearly and avoiding misunderstanding for studying abroad.2.improving the English proficiency to avoid the obstacles of language communication.3.understanding the western education system and cultural background from more channels to adapt to the life style abroad as soon as possible.4participating in all kinds of the academic and social activities to enrich the foreign experience.5fostering the survival adaptability to become the international human resources for a full range of employment services.
