Recently the Project of National Long and Middle Term Education Reformationand Development (2010-2020) is completely put into effect, and quality educationis extensively implemented. As further advancement and development of domesticbasic education reformation, more educationists and educational managers arerequired in this era. Professor Gu Ming-yuan, the chairman of Chinese EducationCommittee, once said that:“such contemporary educationist as Liu Peng-zhi arediligently teaching on the front of education, but also engaged in studyingeducational theories, exploring educational principles and proposing innovateeducational direction. We should publicize to enable the entire society know theirsplendid story and great achievement”. In this sense, a good schoolmaster makesa good school; and an educational manager, who is theoretically innovate and havebreakthrough in practice, brings the spring to the whole basic education. Since1999when the proposal of popularizing quality education was put forward on thethird national education conference, primary school and middle schools from placeto place are implementing quality education and obtain desirable results. Thereis no doubt that schoolmasters play crucial roles on the process of implementingquality education, and their notion and capability of educational management willdirectly influent the outcomes of quality education and then affect the entirebasic educational reformation. As domestic contemporary educationist andeducational manager, Liu Peng-zhi, the schoolmaster of The High School Affiliatedto Renmin University of China, has devoted all her life to the career of educationand states that “education is the main career of my life”. She comes up witha series of distinct notions on moral cultivation, education and teachermanagement, and also contributes to the legends on Chinese basic educationcreated in The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China. However, thereis little integrated system of her educational management thoughts.Therefore, itis necessary to systematically summarize her thoughts on moral cultivation,educational management and teacher management, by combining her practice ofeducational management and resulting achievement of moral cultivation. These thoughts will facilitate the development of theory on educational management andpromote the extensive reformation of quality education and basic education.Thought is generated from practice and can direct practice in return. LiuPeng-zhi is domestic contemporary educational manager. Researching hereducational management theory will be conductive to solving educationalmanagement problems emerged during the process of implementing quality educationin all primary and middle schools, and is significant in directing educationalmanagement action and promoting domestic basic education development.This thesis will research her practice of educational management in The HighSchool Affiliated to Renmin University of China, systematically summarize herthoughts on moral cultivation, educational management and teacher management, andthen present its implication on extensively implementing quality education andeducational management of schoolmasters in all primary and middle schools. It canbe divided into five parts:Introduction. This part will mainly introduce the origin, domestic literaturereview, research methodology of the thesis, and define relevant concepts.Chapter one refers to the research on moral educational management thoughtof Liu Peng-zhi. This chapter will introduce her thought from three aspects:“education on the basis of love and respect”;“education on psychologicalhealth”;“education on social responsibility”.Chapter two refers to the research on educational management thought of LiuPeng-zhi. This chapter will introduce her thought from three aspects:“proposingthe thought of educating according to classification and hierarchy to adjustindividual difference of students”;“reforming curriculum to construct newsystem of curriculum”;“innovating teaching methods to cultivate elites andcreative minds”.Chapter three refers to the research on teacher management thoughts of LiuPeng-zhi. This chapter will introduce her thought from three aspects:“importingand cultivating highly qualified teachers”;“advancing scientific and academiclevel of teachers”;“activating positive attitude of teachers on education work”.Chapter four is the research conclusion and revelation. This chapter willsummarize the thoughts of Liu Peng-zhi on educational management, and thensummarize some inspiration about the extensively implementing quality educationin all primary and middle school, educational management of schoolmasters andfuture researcher.
