Bilingual teaching has a very short history in china, although it has a quite long past. It isnecessary for peoples to communicate with each other. As a result, bilingual teaching becomesan unavoidable trend that requires peoples not only acquire their mother tongue but also secondlanguage, even third language.Fortunately, we don’t have to take too much time to certify the necessity of bilingualteaching. However, it’s indispensable for us to give correct suggestions on how to teachchildren bilingually with scientific methodology and theory for those who are teaching inkindergartens. After collecting and reading a quite large amount of materials on bilingual teaching, researcher found that only few researches had been carried out during past few decades todiscuss this issue that has been attracting intensive attention around the world. In order toanalyze the basic situations and conditions including teachers’ attitudes towards bilingualteaching, basic methodology used by teachers, teachers’ capacity and teaching techniques, researcher designed questionnaire to collect data that is indispensable for us to make rationalanalysis and decisions, which would influence teachers’ behavior or attitudes. The paper is to be highly commended for what it offers to all those wanting to gain insightinto the nature of bilingual teaching, and to get basic understanding on how to teach childrenbilingually in kindergartens, whether from a theoretical point of view or in application to theirprofessional activities as bilingual teachers.
