| Education in China has a long history. But pedagogy in China is a embodyment of“west wind blowing eastâ€, formed in the process of translating Western educationaldisciplines. Obviously, the influence of western theories for Chinese basic educationaltheory research can not be underestimated. Although since the reform and opening up, thescholars have made a discussion on that effect, which provides a theoretical basis. Butnone provided the data as an evidence. It’s unconvincing. Also, none had a direct specificanalysis about an influence of western. With the application of the bibliometric in the fieldof education, this methods is favored by education researchers. And there are the certainresearch. But it was not related to the influence of the basic theory of western education.Based on this, the paper in order to study the influence of western educational for thebasic theory of education by using bibliometric, for the journals of Education Research asan example. In the new century, how much Western learning influence Chinese basiceducational theory? What are the characteristics of the influence of western? Which are theconspicious topic in that western learning? How do they influence Chinese basiceducational theory research? How should regard the western learning? These all are thequestions which the paper needs to discuss.The innovation of this paper is that the methods of bibliometric is applied intoresearch the Western influence of Chinese basic educational theory. It can reveal the law ofquantitative change of literature and objectively describe the western influence of Chinesebasic educational theory by analyzing the citation, which is more convincing and the resultfrom which can avoid subjective supposition. Also, it can provide a solid theoreticalfoundation and practical experience for the later researchers who do further relatedresearches.This paper is composed of five parts:The first chapter is the preface. It’s introduces the cause, purpose and significance ofthis paper, the related research of home including the Western influence on Chinese education thought, pedagogy, and basic educational theory, the current survey of themethods of bibliometric.The second chapter is the discussion of research paradigm. It’s discusses the methodsabout bibliometric, literature analysis and comparative, the research process including howto select the study sample, what the statistical indicators is, how to microscopic analysis,the tool of the research including CNKI Chinese Citation Database and Excel statisticaltools.The third chapter of the statistical analysis is the focus of this paper. It’s carries on theanalysis from the cited literature quantity, the cited literature type, the cited authors,explaining the characteristic of Western influence, and as much as possible to account forthese characteristics.The fourth chapter is the micro analysis. It’s only depends on data to analyse bybibliometric. More detailed analysis are lacked. So there is a microscopic analysis in thecase of Dewey. It analyses what kind of influence are on basic educational theory, and inthis process, whether the misuse has to exist in quoting.The fifth chepter is a conclusion. It summarizes the research results and puts forwardthe views on how the western to treat in the basic educational theory research. |
