As the society goes into the era of knowledge economy, science and technologyand education become the main factors of promoting economic development, they aregot to more and more attention. The promotion of science and technology andtechnology development rely on the development of higher education. Thedevelopment speed of higher education in China has become in the world’s front row,there is no doubt that the popularization of higher education era has arrived.Followed with college enrollment policy and the sharing system of highereducation funds, in their implementation, there occurs many negative phenomenon,such as university students employment difficult, increasing burden of rural familyinvestment in higher education, decrease of the higher education quality and so on.Higher education investment risk is gradually revealed. Rural families, however, isnot influenced by these negative phenomenon, investment in higher educationenthusiasm remains high, excessive education, chasing a key university and popularmajor, investment "irrational" phenomenon is increasing. In this context, this studyanalyzes the differences between rural families and urban families in higher educationinvestment, rural family investment in higher education achievements, problems andreasons. And then put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, inorder to give rural households higher education investment inspiration.This study is divided into five chapters, specific content as follows:The first chapter is introduction. Reviews the research on the problem of ruralfamily investment in higher education before, induces the research background, thepurpose and significance of this article in detail, and proposes the problems of studyand research methods.Chapter2is the theoretical analysis of rural family investment in highereducation. It includes hierarchy of Chinese higher education investment, the consistsof the rural households higher education investment main body, bounded rationality ofrural households higher education investment main body and the characteristics ofrural family investment in higher education.Chapter3introduces the differences between urban and rural family investment in higher education and the analysis of causes. At present, Chinese urban householdsand rural households in the higher education investment have many differences suchas purpose, opportunity and income. The reasons for these differences are graduallywidening income gap between urban and rural families in our country and the nationaladmissions policy and so on.Chapter4analyzes the present situations of rural family investment in highereducation in China. First of all, the article introduces the achievements of Chinahigher education investment, and then proposes the problems of rural familyinvestment in higher education, and finally, analyzes the causes of these problems.Chapter5summarizes the conclusions of this research, and puts forward thecorresponding countermeasures and suggestions. We should take measures to providea good investment environment of higher education for rural families, establish aperfect college students recruit and employment information system, enhance theinvestment capacity of rural households in higher education investment, create aconsultancy for rural family higher education investment. Only in this way can wemake sure the effectiveness of rural family investment in higher education in China.
