Along with the geography of new implementation, geographicexperimental teaching importance is particularly outstanding. The experimental teachingemphasis on presentation and participation, it can effectively change thepassive accept type style of learning, let the students in the experimentaldesign, experimental operation, experimental observation records,experimental analysis in the process of research initiative to acquireknowledge, conclusion. But in geographic experimental teaching, we shouldpay attention to training students’ respect facts, serious, practical and realisticattitude, teachers should set an example, faithfully record the experiment data,against fraud, to let the students know, experiment and not every successful. The teacher’s earnest rigorous, the horns, practical andrealistic style of work, give the students to build up the learning model, tostudent’s personality formation will produce a far-reaching influence. And inthe teaching activities, the results of some objectivity, the problem caused bythat guides the student to carry on the revision, the perfect, not blindlyavoidance, so that it will take time, but in the correction, perfect process, students can not only through the relevant things to explore the mysteries ofthe power, and the practical and realistic attitude also got great culture. Thispaper based on high school geography xiang well-selected required a part ofthe natural geography experimental design, operation, and on students’geographical cognitive ability cultivation and improve effect were studied.The survey method, experimental method, the literature method, comparisonmethod, this paper discusses the implementation of the geographyexperimental teaching to improve students’ cognitive ability play a role.
