With the development of reform and opening up in China, the scale offloating population continued to expand, present "family" trend, lead to flowchildren especially school-age children increased year by year. Migrantworkers children’s educations draw attention more and more. The life andlearning environment transforming frequently, cause the growth of migrantworkers children’s learning problems. Learning motivation plays an importantrole in student’s learning, the exploration and research of learning motivationhas important theoretical and practical significance. At present, domesticscholars have done some research on migrant workers children’s learningmotivation, but also lack of systematic and comprehensive research,especially for its scientific discussion of influence factors and analysis ofobvious deficiency. Therefore is very important for further research onmigrant workers children’s learning motivation characteristics and itsinfluence factor, to promote the migrant workers children adapt to learningand living environment and improve the psychological health level andacademic achievement.This paper intends to study the relationship between academicachievement and learning motivation of students and further analyzes theinfluence of migrant workers children’s learning motivation on academicperformance by using learning motivation diagnostic test (MAAT). Theresults are as follows:(1) The situation of migrant workers children is the time with parentsmoved to the city is short, mostly concentrated in the following five years;family economic income lower than local cultural degree junior middle schoolstudents; many migrant workers family still have greater liquidity; Migrantworkers children can help parents complete work more than local junior highschool student, but the assignments complete badly than local junior middleschool students, there are more drag, copying phenomenon.(2) The migrant workers children’s academic performance exist genderand grade differences, girl’s academic achievement is better than boys, thejunior middle school freshman class student’s result in the junior middle school is better than second grade; migrant workers children’s academicachievement fall behind the local junior middle school students.(3) All learning motivation dimensions’ level of migrant workerschildren compare with norm state in medium level; in migrant workerschildren’s achievement motivation, boy’s skills scene and sports scene ishigher than girls; the junior middle school freshman class students’achievement motivation skills scene, sports scene, social life scenes andachievement motivation overall level are higher than junior middle schoolsecond grade students. In the achievement motivation skills scene, social lifescenes and achievement motivation overall level, migrant workers children’smotivation strength is lower than the local junior high school student.(4) Migrant workers children’s test anxiety situation of learningmotivation exists gender differences, but no grade differences, girls promotenervous degree motive higher than boys, and failure to avoid motivationintensity lower than boys; Compared with the local junior middle schoolstudents, migrant workers children promote nervous degree is lower, failure toavoid motivation is higher.(5) Migrant workers children’s own responsibility of learningmotivation exist no gender, grade and regional difference, there is nodifferences between male and female students, junior middle school grade oneand grade two, local junior middle school students and migrant workerschildren. Migrant workers children’s own responsibility level,girls’ higherthan boys’, junior middle school grade one higher than grade two. There is nodifference in own responsibility between migrant workers children and localjunior middle school students.
