Prenatal education refers to organized learning activities on pregnancy related information for pregnant women and their partners.It is one of the important aspects of maternal and infant health by enforcing the aware of risks during gestation and pregnancy complication.Despite the rapid development of prenatal education in China,there is still a significant gap in prenatal education compared with developed counties.This study compares prenatal education between China and America to reveal the disparity and clarify the current situation of prenatal education in China.Chapter one is the introduction part which discusses the reasons of the study, the use of the relevant research methods,the definitions of relevant terms and the related literatures.Next three chapters respectively analyze and compare the objectives of prenatal education,the leaners and their demands of prenatal education,and teaching approach of prenatal education between China and America.Conclusion reflects the theoretical perspectives of prenatal education,and proposes several suggestions to the development of prenatal education in China.In the final,the thesis concludes the defects and the directions for following study.
