Table tennis has been known as China’s "national sport", with a broad mass base, which combines fitness, entertainment, sports as a whole, loved by the masses, but also among college students as part loyal fans. The quality of education in the larger environment, how University Table Tennis lessons so that students learn more effectively, we are about to embark on is a graduate of faculty positions to be facing a major issue.In this paper the literature、questionnaire、experiment and mathematical statistics and other research methods, combined with ordinary university sports teaching situation and the characteristics of the students, the introduction of multiple intelligences theory teaching characteristics, scientific theories and appropriate teaching strategies under the flexible use of multiple teaching methods to Table Tennis Teaching in various stages, to stimulate students’ motivation to learn and improve their skills, optimize the effect of teaching Table Tennis as a target, in order to promote the development of all students to maximize as the ultimate goal, verified by experiments multivariate Method in University Table Tennis Lesson feasibility and good teaching, teaching in various disciplines as diverse research and practice of Table Tennis Teaching Higher quality reference. After a semester of teaching experiments to study the theory of multiple intelligences foundation, through a lot of research and statistical analysis, reached the following conclusions:1. College table tennis elective classes using multiple teaching methods than traditional teaching methods conducive to better teaching results.2. College table tennis elective classes using multiple teaching methods than traditional teaching methods teaching helps stimulate student motivation and interest in learning.3.College table tennis elective classes using multiple teaching and traditional teaching can promote students’ mastery of table tennis technical movements, and using multiple teaching methods help to improve tennis skills.4.College table tennis elective classes using multiple teaching methods than traditional teaching methods help to improve the students’ cooperation skills, students of team spirit.5.Normal University Table Tennis lessons using multiple teaching methods teaching, fully embodies the principle of individualized teaching.
