Study On The Discipline Construction Of Private Regular Universities

With Chinese reform and socialist modernization construction，China’s higher educationrapidly arrives the Popular Stage. On realizing the popular stage of higher education, expandingthe size of school, improving the educational level, exploring the diversification of investment ineducation and reforming the school system etc, Private colleges have Played an important role.After20years of development, some Private colleges of the conditions for running schools betterand higher quality of talent training are widely recognized by the society. In order to furtherimprove the running quality and level, adapt to the people`s continuously increased demand Interms of the education level in the era of knowledge economy. After being examined andapproved by the Ministry of Education and becoming regular colleges, the private colleges havebroader space for development. But it is not all. On the way to construct the first-class or evenqualified regular universities, the new regular universities also face a lot of problems, such asunreasonable disciplinary orientation, poorer quality of teaching, lower specifications ofpersonnel training, the problem of teaching staff construction, lack of funds, source of studentsetc. These issues together constitute a resistance to hinder the healthy development of the privateregular universities, and be not conducive to private undergraduate institutions play to theadvantage of the educational levels of the undergraduate, and not conducive to meet therequirements of higher education increasing. However, the construction of disciplines is afundamental one in universities and the head of universities’ reformation and development. It is apressing strategic task in our new regular universities, which improves the quality of train andthe level of science and study in our new regular universities.This article starts from the premise that we are fully aware of the importance of thediscipline construction for the private regular universities’ development. Firstly, to begin with theconnotation of the discipline and the discipline construction, on the basis of analyzing intensionof discipline construction and specialty construction, we can clear intension and extension of discipline construction, and other related issues with discipline construction. On the basis ofcomprehensive collection of materials, the paper takes a sample of8private regularuniversities in Shandong, presents a deep analysis of the present situation of the private regularuniversities, and summarize problems of the discipline construction in our private regularuniversities. Secondly, by analyzing the discipline construction of the foreign private universities,the paper is summarized a basic thanking of it. This article is combined with practical situationof our private universities, and find out enlightenment and use for reference which are suitablefor our actual situation. Lastly, this article is on the foundation of clearing the new situation ofour private regular universities which must be faced. Through analyzing those problems, thepaper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions, and tries to solve them, in order to promotethe development of the discipline construction of our private regular universities, and furtherdrive the healthy development of whole private regular universities.
