Learning is the leading task in the development of primary and secondary schoolstudents, but also is the task in development of everyone cross the life span in the eraof knowledge economy. The stage of high-grade primary is a critical period ofdevelopment for the pupils’ learning psychology. The high-grade primary students arefacing changes in academic life from the primary school to the secondary school.Whether the high-grade learners can become the efficient learners and adapt the heavyacademic life when they go to the senior high school becomes one of the challengesfor educators currently. It requires educators to be able to take suitable actions tomaintain the mental health of high-grade primary students and to preventpsychological problems in learning as well as to promote students academicperformance.It’s shown that there exist some potential or prominent psychological problems inlearning for high-grade primary students. But most researches mainly study pupilslearning psychological status quo and influence factors on theory, and collect the datastatistics as well as finish questionnaire survey. Particularly, interventions on learningpsychological problems for high-grade primary school students are very rarely.Therefore, we need to find an effective way to prevent and solve this problem onhigh-grade primary students’ learning psychology.This study is based on the characteristics of high-grade primary students inlearning psychology, combined with the technology of class group counseling andintervention measures depending on the practical situation.The5th grade students inone of Jinan elementary schools are used to be research subjects. The interventionsinclude four aspects: inspiring students’ learning motivation, building the correctlearning attitude, scientifically using learning strategies and dealing with exam anxiety. After three months of class group counseling, the interventions achieved goodeffects. The specific results are as follows:1、The class group counseling can significant improve the high-grade primary schoolstudents’ learning psychology, including learning motivation, learning attitude, andlearning strategies as well as the academic scores. The intervention effect of examanxiety, however, is not obvious.2、Interventions on the high-grade primary school students’ academic performancehave achieved significant effect. The interventions for the low score group haveobvious effect. Three aspects of learning psychology of the low score group beforethe intervention have been improved obviously, including learning motivation,learning attitude, learning strategies as well as academic performance.Theintervention effect of high score group,however,is not obvious.
