Mind map is created by the famous British psychologist Tony Buzan in the1960s,and it is an emerging brain science.At first, it took only as a new method ofnote, then gradually developed into a tool for thinking and learning.Thecomprehension as the most basic learning capability, is the foundation of otherabilities, besides training of comprehension has very big relations with the students’study method and teachers’ teaching method.Therefore, whether the application of mind map is feasible on the cultivation ofstudents’ understanding and how effective it is,is the main research issues of thisarticle.Proceeding from this question,this article has mainly conducted the followingresearch:1.Discuss the domestic and foreign research process and the application situationof the mind map,especially our mind map development situation and the applicationand study status of mind map.2.Analyze the current status of the Chinese students’ comprehension andunderstanding problems in training.Through the investigation discovery, thecomprehension faculty horizontal whole of student is bad,mainly in the lack ofunderstanding consciousness, understanding ability and the lack of attention paid tounderstanding evaluation, and so on.Explore the feasibility and effectiveness of usingmind map to foster students’ comprehension.3.Under the guidance of the theoretical analysis, combined with the currentteaching practice in China,taking training the comprehension of students as thestarting point,construct the instructional model based on mind map.In theinstructional model based on mind mapping, mind mapping is as a tool for teachingand learning,and organically combined with teachers, students and teaching content,itmakes the teaching elements constitute as a system.And on this basis, design the specific teaching process course.4.Through the case study, analyze and prove the feasibility and effectiveness ofthe application of mind map to cultivate students’ comprehension.In this paper, the study shows that: using mind map to make knowledgevisualization, logical, can promote students’ better memory, understanding andapplication of knowledge;using mind map enable students to understand and evaluatethe deep knowledge of understanding,and improve the ability of analysis andapplication of knowledge; the use of mind map can promote the students to the overallunderstanding of knowledge;using mind map can let students comb the knowledgethrough the construction of knowledge network system, and thus have a betterunderstanding of knowledge, improve the students’ level of comprehension.
