Reading comprehension is not only a necessary skill for people living in the age of information explosion,but also the basic and core ability of students to know the world,learn knowledge and solve problems.However,the situation of Chinese reading in junior middle school is not optimistic.This is partly due to the lack of reading interest and reading habits,and the low reading efficiency.On the other hand,influenced by traditional education ideas,teachers ignored students' independent reading and thinking,and did not give students professional training and guidance on reading.All of these factors limit the development of the students' reading comprehension ability.Therefore,we try to use a tool which can make knowledge organized better to help students read,and the idea of mind map applied to Chinese reading comprehension comes into being.Mind map can make the human thought process visualized with vivid images and detailed captions.In recent years,mind map has been widely used in subjects teaching.However,the study of mind map in Chinese reading is less.On the basis of related research,according to the situation of reading comprehension and the characteristics of mind map,this paper proposed a strategy that applying mind map in Chinese reading comprehension of the junior middle school students.It is hoped that this study will provide some new ideas and methods for reading teaching,and also provide references for future research.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:The first part introduces the research background,elaborates the research objective and meaning based on the new curriculum standard requirement for junior middle school Chinese reading ability,and determines to use a variety of methods of the literature research,survey research and education experiments.Secondly,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign research status of mind map,and illustrates its advantages and disadvantages.Then,the basic concepts and theoretical basis of mind map and reading comprehension are introduced.Finally,the paper analyzes the feasibility and necessity of the mind map to improve the reading comprehension ability of junior middle school students.The third part is about the experimental study of using mind map to improve the language reading comprehension ability of junior middle school students.First,the experimental purpose,content,experiment object,experimental method and data type were clarified.Then the process of early,middle and late experiment is introduced in detail.Finally,through the analysis and processing of the results of the questionnaire,the test scores and the content of the interview,the conclusions are drawn.The last part summarizes the research achievements of this topic,reflects the problems and shortcomings in the research,and puts forward some suggestions on how to apply mind map reasonable to improve Chinese reading comprehension.
