We use the idea and methods of science inquiry in inquiry teaching. It aimsat make the students grasp scientific research personnel’s elementary knowledgeand the basic skills. Now, inquiry teaching already have a profound theoreticalbasis and background. Ordinary high school biology course standard advocatesinquiry teaching. In recent years, the biology teachers are applying inquiryteaching actively. But, not all teachers can apply inquiry teaching suitable. Partsof teachers are puzzled about the degree of openness of inquiry activity. Studyon the styles of biology inquiry teaching and the degree of openness of inquiryactivety can make teachers know how to promote inquiry teaching.We summarize inquiry theory by literatures. We analysis the styles ofbiology inquiry teaching depend on ordinary high school biology coursestandard and investigators’ research achievement. Then, we deduce the flow forinstructional design of biology guided inquiry teaching. At last, we analysis thecases of teaching practice. This article aimed at explicit the characteristic ofinquired teaching and how to use it. So that, to supply reference for teachers tojudge how to seize the degree of openness. This research contents are asfollows: In the first part, we composite the theory of biology guided inquiryteaching. In the second part, we design teaching cases just like Exploreinfluence factors of enzyme activity and Explore environmental factors effect onthe strength of photosynthesis. In the third part, we discuss the characteristic andnotes of guided inquiry. Then, we discuss the applicability of guided inquiry inPEP biology textbooks. And, which is the factors that impact the guided inquiry.In the forth part, we summarize the viewpoints of this article.There’re four styles inquiry teaching that conclude constitute inquiry,guided inquiry, opened inquiry, and independence inquiry. Guided inquiry isstudent-oriented and teacher-dominated. We should design teaching cases fromthe follow processes: analysis the content and target of teaching; design themedia, process and evaluation of teaching; and the amendment, and so on. Wealso need to design from these three points: preparations, implement andevaluation.Guided inquiry suits for experiment and inquiry in the biology textbooks.But guided inquiry was not the only teaching method. We should select teachingmethods by physical truth. This research comes from the author’s practice. It’san attempt to use guided inquiry for teaching. We hope that we can providesome reference for teachers to design teaching cases. And we also hope thatteachers can checkout the applicability of guided inquiry. We will go on researching the other styles of inquiry teaching. |
