With the development of modern information technology, Modern Distance Education becomes the new educational method. Distance education can produce the advantage of the existing educational resources effectively, and keep in line with the trend of the development of education in the world. In the process of Cultivation of innovative talents, in order to take full advantage of Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s high-quality educational resources, to deliver these resources to other branch of the school, and to enhance the teaching level of using the modern information technology quickly, the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University researches and constructs the Network distance education system.This paper mainly uses the method of literature research and action research, combing the concept of distance education and theoretical basis, summarizing video conference system structure and components, and proposing the network distance teaching plans based on video conference system. Then the paper implements and evaluates the plans, and proposes optimization scheme on the basis.The full paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter presents the research background of network distance teaching system in High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, analyzes the current status of the research, and determines the research method and research mentality. As there are little research and application about the video conferencing in distance education of middle schools, this study has important significance.In the second chapter, the author elaborates the concept of distance teaching and introduces the basic theory of distance education, Desmons Keegan’s another comprehensive theory of remote teaching and learning, Moore’s interaction distance of the distance education and independent learning theory, and Holmberg’s guiding teaching talks theory. This paper also points out that the research of distance education should be guided by the learning theory such as cognitive theory, behavior theory and humanistic theory and so on. It introduces the information technology of distance education and realization ways of network distance teaching.In the third chapter, it introduces the video conference system architecture standard H.320, standard H.323and audio video coding standard in detail, compares their advantages and disadvantages, and researches the function of two important pieces of equipment, MCU and video terminal.The fourth and fifth chapters are the key points of this research. According to the project requirements, the paper develops the detailed plan of network distance teaching system construction based on video conference system and makes specific provision on the system function, technical requirements and equipment choice. On this basis, considering about the experiments of many teachers and students’questionnaires in High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the author analyzes the existing problems and proposes optimal views in two aspects of the teaching design and the function of video conference system.In the last sixth chapter of this paper, the research is summarized and the future research work is prospected. |
