This paper is focused upon the effectiveness of teaching the seventh to the ninthformers how to write an article according to the new standard curiculum. Thisquestion is originated from the ever-lasting status that the conventional teachingmethod is encountering inefficiency and wasting students’ time and energy to a largeextent. Considering this fact, the first part aims to find out the crucial reasons bydoing some researches into the current conventional teaching method. The second andthe third parts will propose corresponding solutions and stategies before and aftershaping an article.The paper consists of three parts.The first part will do researches on the present teaching of how to compose anarticle on tems of its history, theory and practice, and come up with the existingimproperties in this process,including the insufficient theoretical study, the ignoranceof the students as the main part of writing behavior, the neglect of stimulatingstudents’ innovatives as well as the overlook of specific training sequence. In the endof this part, corresponding solutions will be enlisted for all these improperties.The second and third parts make up the vital bodies of this paper, aiming toexplore the countermeasures to perfect teaching method from different perspectives.The second part mainly discusses the effective implement of writing goals andpsychological instruction before writing an article. In order to enhance theeffectiveness of composition teaching, the the implement of writing goals is ofleading importance, because specific goals to successful writing are just like thebeacon to the ship. Without doubt, psychological instruction is indispensible. Only byanalysing the students’ inner world, can teachers stir up their writing motives, whichhelps to maintain the writing excitement in students for a longer period. The third part depicts the effective instructions in the process of writing andafter its completion. Teachers should inform students of effective skills while writingan article, which used to be forgotten, or omitted by some teachers. After studentshave mastered these basic skills, they are sure to improve their writing capabilities.Reformation of the traditional appraisal system can definitely boost students’participation in writing and ability to modify their own works. Only in this way canstudents make sound progress in writing a satisfactory article on the basis of theirformer skills.
