Purpose:Fitness of the existing constitutions and health status of students aged6-18of Han nationality in Hangzhou in2010; to study the Relevant affecting factors of fitness and health of students in Hangzhou; in order to improve the fitness and health of students in Hangzhou.Approaches:Using random sampling, hierarchical and whole group, the paper extracted Chinese students aged6-18of Han nationality in2010as subjects, and the data is from Zhejiang Provincial Student Constitutions and Health Survey and Research Data Bank. The survey includes morphological growth. Physiological function, athletic ability, health status and health behavior. Descriptive and analytical study is the statistical method.Result:1. Morphological growthThe height, weight, bust, BMI and Vervaeek index mean value of3740male and female test students aged6-18in Hangzhou in2010grow with age. The students aged6-14witness speed annual increase, and those aged15-18witness gradual slow increase of all index. As for difference between male and female students witness notable difference in height;while between urban and rural areas, witness no remarkable difference in weight, bust, BMI, and Vervaeek index mean value.2. Physiological functionThe heart rate of both male and female students are generally decreased along with the age, while the heart rates of female students are comparatively higher than those of the male students, especially for those after12years of age. Blood pressure sees upward trend along with age. The proportion of doubtful high pressure sorted in preliminary and middle school students is21.86%for male students and22.23%for female students. Vital capacity meal value of both urban and rural students goes higher along with age. The vital capacity and weight mean values of students goes higher along with age. while the growth rate is slightly different between urban and rural areas as well as male and female.3. Physical performanceAs for physical performance indexes reflecting speed, explosive force, muscle strength, endurance etc., those of male students are better than those of the female students, and those of urban areas are better than those of rural areas. The flexibility of urban female students is the best, while that of male students is comparatively poor.4. Health statusCompared with malnutrition, the over-nutrition and nutrient imbalance is more obvious regarding students in Hangzhou, especially those in rural areas, and the obesity prevalence among children and adolescents is to be wary of. The overweight detection rates of four groups of students in Hangzhou are18.00%,15.66%,6.89%, and8.55%respectively; the obesity detection rates are4.72%,9.26%,2.34%and6.82%respectively. The epidemiological characteristics of anemia of students in Hangzhou indicate high anemia rate among female infants, rural students and urban senior middle school students, and most of the victims are suffered from edge anemia considering the anemia level. Detection rate of anomalous vision is69.37%for male students, and70.8%for female students, and the rates of four groups of students are64.44%,74.48%,66.82%, and74.75%respectively. The levels run from mild to moderate for those with age of6-12, and severe for those with age after13and with detection rate above60%. Dental caries rate of preliminary and middle school students is high and close to50%, child with age under12has averagely1.31deciduous teeth with dental caries. While dental caries of permanent teeth become better, the rate is only15.77%, and student has averagely0.28permanent teeth with dental caries. Ascaris infection is negative among220students attending the examination.5. health behaviorThe questionnaire survey of health behavior in2640the students aged9-18show that excessive burdens on students’ schoolwork, some of the students’ daily exercise time being not up to an hour, daily mean deviation of sleep time being not adequate, less eating habits and sports entertainment time, all leads to insufficient physical exercise. Single and boring physical education in school, failure of some parents back students’ physical training, and little interest of students in school physical training, all results in student being lack of participation intention in physical exercise.6. Relevant affecting factorsBased on logistic regression analysis, relevant affecting factors are follows:The three affecting factors for vision are:daily homework time (risk factor), daily sleeping time and physical training time (protective factors). Affecting factors for anemia (hypoproteinemia) are:daily sleeping time (protective factor), weekly PE(risk factors). Affecting factors for normal weight is daily homework time(risk factors) and physical training time (protective factors).Conclusion:1. Basically, the growth and development of primary and middle school students in Hangzhou comply with the regular youngster growth and development pattern. In general, most of medical examination and physical fitness test indicate that the growth and development of boys are better than those of girls, those of urban areas are better than those of rural areas. However, there is coexistence of nutrition and nutritional imbalance, urban students of primary and middle school students in Hangzhou are witnessed lower lung capacity, higher blood pressure, worse grip and seat bending, higher detection rate of myopia, higher detection rate of low hemoglobin, higher detection rates of overweight and obesity, etc.2. Excessive burdens on students’ schoolwork, some of the students’ daily exercise time being not up to an hour, daily mean deviation of sleep time being not adequate, student being lack of participation intention in physical exercise.3. Shortage in average sleep time, daily physical exercise, and daily homework time are risk factors for poor eyesight. Being female, shortage in average sleep time, the number of physical education per week are risk factors for anemia. Minor strength in physical education, frequent fatigue strength, and low intention in long distance running exercises are risk factors for overweight. Longer mean daily homework time and shorter mean daily physical exercise are risk factors for marasmus. |
