Nowadays, with the rapid development of the society,"anxiety" has almostbecome a phenomenon commonly found in everywhere. Be accompanied with thefinancial crisis and other economic fluctuations, the unemployment of collegegraduate has drawn more and more attention of the society, in which the “employmentanxiety†is particularly prominent. Some students cannot deal with the pressure of thesetbacks during the job-hunting, and some cannot keep a stable state of mind. Theanalysis, which is mainly focus on the employment anxiety of the current graduates,will contribute to easing the employment anxiety of the college students when theyface the severe employment situation. Also it would make a certain practicalsignificance to the students, the schools and the society.Core self-evaluation, presented by Judge and other psychologist, including fourtraits of self-esteem, self-efficacy, emotional stability, the locus of control, hasbecome a great upsurge in studies in recent years. It is generally believed thatindividuals with high score of core self-evaluation would have better emotionalcontrol, higher self-efficacy and easier to adapt to new situations.At present, whether foreign or domestic researches on the core self-evaluation ismost limited to its contribution to organization management and mental health. Fewresearchers pay attention to the relationship between core self-evaluation and thestudent employment. As for graduates of the police academy, does the coreself-evaluation make some affection on the employment? Based on this hypothesisand combined with the previous researches, this essay adopts the existingquestionnaire, makes the descriptive statistics analysis and correlation analysis withthe collected data by using the SPSS17.0, explores the differences of populationstatistics and relationships between the core self-evaluation and the employmentanxiety of the police academy graduates, the results are as follows:(1) Core self-evaluation does not have significant differences in gender, familyorigin and family structure.(2) Employment anxiety does not have significant differences in gender and family structure, but on family source,(3) Core self-evaluation and employment anxiety show a significant negativecorrelation, and with the employment anxiety in four dimensions includesemployment fear, employment insecurity, interview anxiety, there are significantlynegative correlation, while the job anxiety does not. |
