Based on the current postgraduates’employment situation, according to Albert Bandura’s Self-efficacy Theory, the thesis is written to researh on postgraduates’Career Decision-making Self-efficacy(CDMSE)’s relationship between employment pressure, achievement motivation and mental health, wishing to discover the main psychological factors for postgraduates’career seletion and to provide rational suggestions for them on career seletion. This thesis adopted the Revised Short Scale for CDMSE byYanmei,Long(2003), Employment Pressure Questionnair for Colleague Students by Wenfeng, Wu, Achievement Motivation Scale (AMS) and Sympton Checklist90(SCL-90). Questionairs were carried out by415postgraduates, among whom155are male while260are female in Hubei University, Wuhan University, Central China Normal University, Shaanxi Normal Unviersity, East China Normal University and Sun Yat-Sen Unversity. According to the research, conclusions are made as bellow:1, There are great differences for postgraduates’CDMSE by gender, source place of students and the only child. Great differences are seen in dimensions such as self-evaluation,making plans and solving problems for CDMSE by gender, source of students and the only child. Results showing that females got more scores than males, urban students got more scores than rural students, the only child got more scores than non-only child. Also, there are great differences in collecting message for CDMSE by dimensions such as gender and the only child factors, but there are less differences by the source place of students. Moreover, there are great differences in object filtering dimension for CDMSE by gender, source place of students and the only child.2, There are less differences in employment pressure by gender, source place of students and the only child factors. For family and society dimensions in employment pressure, gender have less differences while the source place and the only child have great differences. For companion and indivisual dimensions, all the three factors have less differences. For major dimension, gender have more differences while the source place of students and the only child have less differences. 3, For Achievement Motivation, the total scores have great differences by gender and the source place of students, the males got more scores than the females, the rurual students got more scores than the urban students. However, for the only child factor, the differences are small. For pursuiting achievenment motivation, all the three factors have less differences. For avoiding failure motivation, all the three factors have great differences.4, For mental health, postgraduates got more scores than the national college norms in hostility factors, but they got less scores in obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, paranoid and psychosis factors. However, they got less differences in other facots. For interpersonal sensitivity, hostility, paranoid and psychosis factors, the males got more scores than the femals. For the source place of students dimension, the rurual students got more scores than the urban students over the9factors. For the only child dimension, the non-only child got more scores than the only child in somatization, depression, anxiety, paranoid and psychiosis.5, There are intimate relationship between career selection self-efficacy, employment pressure, achievenment motivation and mental health. Employment pressure, achievement motivation and mental health could predict career selection self-efficacy. Family, university, major and indivisual factors in employment pressure, the success pursuing dimension in achievenment motivation, the somatization, depression and anxiety factors in mental health could predict CDMSE efficiently.
