With the political and economic development of China,the work of the collegeideological and political education faces serious challenges.Especially,the "post-80s" andthe "post-90s",who have active thinkings and independent personalities,have broughtunprecedented challenges to it.It is time for today's educators to solve problems that"how to better play the work of the college ideological and political education to improve thestudents’ enthusiasm and motivation".As we all known, the ideological and political education work is carried out aroundpeople,meanwhile,at the same time people is the starting point of motivation.One of the tasksfor the ideological and political education is to mobilize the people’s enthusiasm andmotivation,and the most effective way to improve enthusiasm is the motivation. Therefore,the ideological and political education needs the help of incentive work.In a word,the use ofincentive theory can effectively enhance the effect of the ideological and politicaleducation,at the same time the ideological and political education has riched and developedthe theory of motivation.Both complement each other.Since from China’s reform,China’s scholars have done a lot of work to study theincentive theory.China’s researches about the incentive mechanisms of the ideological andpolitical education were only started in the1960s,and the present study level isfragmented,little theoretical and systematic. Most ideas focus on the papers to explain theincentive mechanisms of the ideological and political education.This paper,according to the new features of "college students",researches and explainsthe incentive mechanisms of the ideological and political education, combining with therelated theories about the incentive mechanisms.And insisting on the principle of the theorieswith the practice,this paper explain the theorise by the realities,using many methods,forexample,the literature,the induction and the analyses and so on.The main text is divided into four parts.The first part mainly introducts the basic theoryof the incentive theory and the incentive mechanism of the ideological and politicaleducation.The second part mainly analyzes the current problems of China’s ideological andpolitical education incentive mechanisms,according to the modern college students’psychological characteristics and needs.The third part analyzes the reasons,to explore theroot cause of the problems.The forth part aims at how to construct the ideological andpolitical education incentive mechanisms,exploring new era of the ideological and politicaleducation incentive mechanism.
