| According to the new course reform, school-based curriculum is brought into PhysicalEducation, and certain curriculum rights are delegated to each school so that the school-basedcurriculum with particular school characteristics is formed. Then, school-based curriculum ofPhysical Education are brought into effect. This paper analyses the school-based curriculumimplementation situation of Physical Education in Anshan, aiming to do some contribution topromote the new course reform in Anshan as well as optimizing its regional application effect.This paper adopts the methods like documentation, interview, questionnaire and mathematicalstatistics, finally comes to the following conclusions through investigation and analyses:1. The resources of the school-based curriculum in Anshan junior middle school areoverall ideal. Young teachers are in majority, furthermore, their degree level is comparativelyhigh:73.33%of the Physical Education teachers received the bachelor or above degree, alsotheir teaching experiences are rich. And most of the teachers are confident about theirpersonal competence. However, one weak point here is that the proportion between male andfemale teachers is unbalanced, more than90%of the teachers are male. As for the materialresources, the amount of teachers who thought that acceptable are up to51.33percent.2. Most of the junior high schools in Anshan have their own management institutions.Such institutions are formed by the school leaders, Physical Education teachers, experts andetc. School-based research trainings are organized by the authorities regularly so that teachersget a clear understanding on the school-based curriculum. However, the members in theinstitution are for the moment limited to the staff of the school, few from outside.3. Among the16investigation schools,14of them applied the school-basedcurriculum, accounting for87.5%of the total. Leaders and teachers all hold a positive attitudetowards it. On the contents of the curriculum, the adaptation based on the national teachingmaterial is up to56.25%. Their development projects are more in ball games or gymnastics,but fewer in local characteristics, or innovative projects. As for the way ofimplementation,school-based curriculum is preferred to be arrange during the break or inPhysical Education class. Besides, during the implementation process, it is worthwhile to notethat the tasks of the Physical Education teachers are arduous, and the teaching pressure isstressful According to the investigation the number of the teachers who are overpressure ishigh to93.33%. Through the reflection of the students, it is important that school are supposed to correct the students’ attitude to school-based curriculum and pay more attentionto their demands for Physical Education learning. |
