Entering the new century, with the world’s comprehensive national power increasingceaselessly, the relationship between country and country is the coexistence of cooperationand competition. At the same time, because the world population growth and nationaleconomy rapid development, the natural resources of the earth and natural resource allocationdisequilibrium increasingly restricting economic growth. Therefore, in the present naturalresources restriction, how to make full use of their existing available resources to promoteeconomic growth has become a worldwide research topic.Because of that, people have to re-examine Education--especially the effect ofeducation on economic growth. On one hand, higher education train high-quality workers,promoting quality of human capital production. On the other hand, University in today’ssociety has become a major producer of scientific and technological achievements, indirectlypromoting the social technology increased levels of total. Our country has always adhere tothe "revitalizing the nation through science and education" development strategy, whichrequires us to fully study the relationship between higher education and economic growth. Atthe same time, in view of China’s regional development is not balanced, what resulted in thedevelopment of our higher education level in the space level are unevenly distributed, wemust analysis the current situation of the development of higher education in china.This paper mainly make the research of domestic and foreign scholars as the foundation,use qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to verify, combination of theoretical researchand empirical research methods, focuses on the analysis of relationship between highereducation and economic growth. Study on the contribution rate of some economic factors oneconomic growth mechanism is the main means, but domestic scholars at the regional level ofChinese different area distribution theory the results of not more. In this paper, we makerecent data as the basis, establishing the contribution rate calculation model, calculating thehigher education’s contribution to economic growth rate. At the same time, we know thefactors of economic growth and economic growth itself there are interactive, namely area owneconomic growth tends to also promote the regional development of higher education, so howto understand this relationship is also a important part in this article. Only a profoundunderstanding of China’s higher education facing the actual problem, we can formulate therelated policy.
