A Study Of The Relationship Between The Development Of Higher Education In Jilin Province And Economic Growth

In the 21st century, with the acceleration of education internationalization and economic globalization trend, knowledge innovation brought by new economy is booming. The strength, the social economic development and the soul of the natural resource consumption to laborer consumption, make the human resource become the important strategic resource in today’s society. It provides power for social development and economic growth. In the development of social economy, higher education as the highest form of education, plays an important role in the cultivation of talents. Higher education has provided the rich human resources and strong technical support through the human capital on regional economic growth, technological progress and technological innovation. This is based on the development of higher education in regional economic growth material determines the size and quality of the development of higher education. On the basis of national policy to promote the revitalization of northeast old industrial base, jilin province, as an important member of the northeast old industrial base should achieve rapid economic growth, therefore, choose the theme of the research of the relationship between higher education and economic growth in jilin province has realistic significance.Based on domestic and foreign scholars, this paper studies the relationship between higher education and economic growth in jilin province between qualitative and quantitative analysis methods. First, it introduces the general situation of Jilin province economic growth, an overview of the development of Jilin province’s higher education. Second, it is like Danni’s factor analysis method, this means that it is similar to professor Cui’s method, China’s higher education in her article contribution to economic growth. The article uses the method and a large number of data to calculate the contribution of higher education to economic growth in 2002-2003 of Jilin province and the whole nation. By comparing with the average of the whole nation, it is concluded that the contribution of higher education to economic growth in jilin province is lower than the average level of the whole nation, and analyzes reasons for the low contribution rate of higher education to economic growth in jilin province. Finally, it makes the following observations coordinated development of higher education and economic growth in jilin province. Firstly, reform of specialties in universities, in order to achieve its docking needs of the community. Secondly, increase investment in higher education, to improve the system of education funding. Thirdly, accelerate the internationalization of higher education.
